I started by coloring the mama birds, daisies and bees from Scrappy Tails Crafts ‘Mama Bird‘ and ‘Oopsy Daisy‘ stamp sets with copic markers.  What beautiful hummingbirds and daisies.  The stamp sets includes colorful birds, beautiful daisies, as well as plenty of cute little bees and sentiments.  There are matching ‘Oopsy Daisy‘ & ‘Mama Bird‘ die sets with a great fit.

You can find the Oopsy Daisy bundle HERE!

COPIC MARKERS:

• Daisies & Bees (Y38, Y35, Y15, V12, YG17, YG13, B34, B32, B21, 0)

• Mama Birds (RV09, RV06, YG06, YG03, YG01, V28, V25, V22, E37, E35)

The card base is made out of a piece of white textured card stock.  Used Distress Oxide Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn to color the sky and grass behind the house.  Love the ‘Cotton Tail Blending Brushes‘ from The Rabbit Hole Designs.  So smooth and effortless for Distress Oxide Inks.

Created the mama birds house using both the ‘Slimline Birdhouse Popup‘ and ‘Slimline Brick Background‘ dies.   I punched out some of the bricks to create a cool little 3d background.  I colored a piece of white paper with Distress Ink Fired Brick and let it show through the holes I created in the brick wall.  Love the affect.

The sentiment is also from Scrappy Tails Crafts ‘Slimline Birdhouse Popup‘ stamp set.  The set has several fun sentiments for you to choose from.  Love the ‘tweet'

Wouldn't you love to have those beautiful mama birds in your birdhouse?

  1. I absolutely love this card…. Your coloring is fantastic. I like the way you colored the card stock to use behind the brick die cut and let some of the bricks openings show the colored card stock. When you said that in you description, I had to scroll back up and see the up close view of it. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
